Andrew Howard
Andy is an experienced educator and leader, with over 35 years as a teacher and over 20 as a leader. Having spent the last decade as a head teacher and consultant in the Specialist sector, Andy has a proven track record of innovation and transformational change. His major passion is in supporting the most vulnerable young people, those from disadvantaged backgrounds and those who’s struggles are more than should exist in a compassionate society.
He is an experienced international speaker and trainer, having spoken on diverse topics, from the impact on technology in education, through to the need to change our perception of mental health for young people. He currently advises, supports and trains school leaders and settings in Inclusion, with a particular focus on the impact of SEMH, Trauma, Neurodiversity and Deprivation on young people.
Andy is a Founding Fellow of the Chartered College of Teachers, and a Distinguished Fellow of the International forums of Inclusive Practitioners (IFIP). He also has received a Global Inclusion Award from the IFIP for his work at building inclusive settings for young people.
