The former Arsenal Captain and England Centurion is a well-regarded pundit for BBC and Sky Sports, a regular on BBC's Match of the Day as well as fronting ambassadorial campaigns with Nike, Barclays and Cadbury's. Alex signed with Arsenal at age 8 and stayed with the team for most of her career, helping the club achieve numerous victories including the domestic double of the FA Women's Cup and the FA Women's Premier League. She captained the club during the 2014/15 season and competed for England at three World Cups and the London 2012 Olympic Games. Embarking on a successful broadcasting career after her retirement, becoming a regular on both the BBC and Sky's football broadcasting teams. Alex made history last August as the first female Sky Pundit on a Sky Sports' Super Sunday. An inspirational role model, Alex proved her worth in a male-dominated sport. She has been outspoken on the issue of racial discrimination, not letting it limit her success. Away from the world of football, Alex took part in and won Bear Grylls: Mission Survivor and the Sports Relief Strictly Come Dancing special in 2018. In 2012 she opened The Alex Scott Academy in 2012 in partnership with Kingston College and Puma. As well as training the Academy helps students work towards qualifications, making it the first of its kind for women in the UK.
