Alastair is a Senior Consultant to the Foundation for Education Development and a co-founder of Innovate-Ed. He has been a Headteacher of 3 schools, including one of the first Technology Colleges. He has also worked as Director of the Reed Foundation's Academy of Enterprise, where he designed the first national GCSE level qualification in Enterprise Capabilities, and as Director of Educational Leadership for a national education charity.
