Abid has worked in schools and EdTech for over 20 years, championing digital equity and bridging technology gaps for learners of all backgrounds. As the IT Director at Newham Community Learning, he leads digital strategy, cyber security, and the delivery of digital learning across the Trust. A Google Certified Trainer and Innovator, Abid co-founded the Global GEG at the height of the pandemic alongside fellow educators worldwide, providing vital remote learning support and resources. He has presented at events globally and was recognised in the EdTech50 “Ones to Note” for his impact on digital outcomes. Passionate about sustainable transformation, Abid was described by a colleague as “a natural positive force and dreamer with 10X ideas.”
