Clare Thorn
With over 20 years’ experience in special education, Clare has developed extensive expertise supporting pupils with severe and profound and multiple learning difficulties. She is passionate about creating inclusive, enriching environments and designing sensory spaces that engage learners through light, texture, and movement. In 2025, Clare’s dedication to fostering students’ independence and communication was recognised when she was named one of the British Assistive Technology Scholarship Fund’s AT Scholars. She has since applied this experience to enhance student support, develop communication-focused curricula, and share best practices across the Special Educational Needs community.
