Carlo Weaver
Carlo Weaver is the Founder and CEO of Apprentago, a technology platform helping young people find apprenticeships and work experience, track applications and prepare for opportunities using AI. Apprentago supports over 650,000 young people and works with schools, colleges, employers and mayoral strategic authorities across the UK.
Carlo’s journey into entrepreneurship was shaped by his experience. Diagnosed as autistic at 11, he left school without GCSEs and experienced homelessness with his mother at 15. After returning to education, he progressed from a Level 1 BTEC to a degree apprenticeship at NatWest Markets, becoming its first Portfolio Management degree apprentice and helping manage £83 million by the age of 20. He worked in quantitative finance and technology at UBS and Legal & General Investment Management.
Carlo founded Apprentago because he believes talent is everywhere, but opportunity is not. The company is backed through the Youth Guarantee and helps employers reach underrepresented talent through TikTok campaigns, school lesson packs and end-to-end recruitment technology.
He has shared his experience at the House of Lords, Windsor Castle and the London School of Economics, and is a finalist for Lloyds Bank Entrepreneur of the Year and the Department for Work and Pensions Skills Champion award.
