Lee Miller MBE
Lee is a respected leader whose career has been shaped by a commitment to continuous improvement, strong systems and enabling others to succeed.
He's spent over 15 years within education, becoming well versed to the challenges facing the sector such as financial planning, HR management, legal issues, site and IT strategies. Lee was proudly awarded fellow status by the Institute of School Business Leaders (ISBL) in 2021.
During his time as a senior leader, Lee has supported several Trusts and was recognised in the 2020 Queens Birthday Honours for his services to education, which he describes as one of the proudest moments of his life.
Having grown up in Medway, with family in Devon and now living in Portsmouth, Lee's work now spans each of these communities. Having missed out on a grammar school place following his 11+ results, he chose not to be defined by barriers, instead using them as motivation to shape his future.
Lee champions three principles in every leadership role: building systems and structures to serve pupils, empowering people to contribute and lead with accountability, and ensuring transparency when decisions are made. Together, they create the conditions for continuous improvement, organisational readiness and sustainable transformation.
