Michał Malinowski is an educator, creative learning innovator, computer graphic artist, storyteller, and museum founder working at the intersection of education, technology, imagination, and design.
He is a Lecturer of Creative Thinking at the Pontifical University of John Paul II in Kraków, Poland, where his work focuses on creativity, digital storytelling, non-linear learning, and new pedagogical approaches for the age of artificial intelligence.
His engagement with EdTech and digital creativity spans more than three decades. He studied computer graphics at ECAL – École cantonale d’art de Lausanne in Switzerland and later became an Artist-in-Residence in Professor Machiko Kusahara’s computer graphics studio at the Tokyo Institute of Polytechnics in Japan. In the 1990s, he worked on multimedia and interactive educational projects in Switzerland, including the development of concepts combining digital media, learning, visual communication, and edutainment.
He is the founder of the Storyteller Museum – MuBaBaO and the creator of the MuBaBaO Creative Thinking Blocks, a hands-on learning system designed to foster imagination, divergent thinking, experimentation, storytelling, and creative problem-solving.
His current work explores AI and augmented creativity, non-linear pedagogy, embodied and constructionist learning, cognitive agency, and the design of future learning environments.
He is also the author of the forthcoming book MUBABAO. New Geometry of Education: Portolan of the Pedagogy of the Future, which proposes a new framework for education in a world increasingly shaped by artificial intelligence, uncertainty, creativity, and rapid technological change.
