OxEd & Assessment (OxEd) is a University of Oxford spinout company launched to take decades of research on early language through to practical application in schools.

Founded by leading experts from the University of Oxford, Prof. Charles Hulme and Prof. Maggie Snowling, OxEd draws on the latest scientific research to create solutions that are both proven to be effective and accessible to educators.

Our solutions include an oral language assessment to support universal screening in early years (LanguageScreen), a whole class oral language enrichment [rogramme (NELI Whole Class), the best-evidenced oral language targeted intervention programme (NELI Intervention).and an integrated whole class and targeted intevention programme for nurseries (NELI Preschool).

Our programmes are designed to help educators catch weak oral language skills early and provide them with the resources to support children in overcoming any language delays before they progress through the education system,  improving their reading outcomes and overall academic success.
