Rose Luckin CBE is an internationally respected expert on artificial intelligence (AI) in education, with more than 30 years of experience advising policymakers, governments, and industry worldwide. She is Professor Emerita at University College London and Founder and CEO of Educate Ventures Research Limited (EVR), which supports the ethical and effective adoption of AI across education. 

Rose has held senior academic leadership roles at both UCL and the University of Sussex. She was appointed CBE in the 2026 King's Birthday Honours and has received numerous international awards, including the 2025 Bett Outstanding Achievement Award, the 2024 ASU-GSV Leading Woman in AI EDU recognition, and the 2023 ISTE Impact Award, becoming the first recipient from outside North America. She was also awarded the International Francqui Chair in 2018. 

A prolific author, her books include Machine Learning and Human Intelligence (2018) and AI for School Teachers (2022). A sought-after keynote speaker, she regularly addresses global audiences on AI, ethics, and the future of education, and contributes to publications including TES, the Financial Times, The Guardian, and China Daily. 

Rose also advises Cambridge University Press and Assessment, co-founded the Institute for Ethical AI in Education, and serves on advisory boards including the UK Department for Education Science Advisory Council.
