Paul Edmond is Chief Finance and Sustainability Officer at HEART Academies Trust and Co-Chair of the UK Schools Sustainability Network (UKSSN). He leads strategic work across finance, sustainability, procurement, estates, digital services, risk management and governance, supporting schools to improve outcomes while strengthening long-term operational and financial resilience. 

Paul is an advocate for sustainability in education and works with school leaders, trusts, professional bodies and policymakers to embed climate action and climate adaptation within educational leadership and decision-making. He serves on the Climate Adapted Pathways for Education (CAPE) Advisory Board and has contributed to national discussions on sustainability, resilience and adaptation in the education sector. 

A Fellow of the Institute of School Business Leadership (ISBL) and ThoughtBox Education, Paul has expertise in sustainable procurement, climate risk, school decarbonisation, finance and organisational change. He is passionate about helping education leaders connect sustainability with wider priorities including wellbeing, safeguarding, curriculum development, operational resilience and value for money. 

Through his work with HEART Academies Trust and UKSSN, Paul supports the development of practical tools, resources and networks that help schools and trusts respond effectively to climate risks while creating more sustainable and resilient learning environments.
