Alex Willans is the Careers and Technical Education Partnership Director for Bradford Council. Alex joined Bradford District Local Authority in 2019, and is a seasoned leader with an extensive background rooted in education and L&D. Alex's leads a system approach to Careers and Technical Education (CTE) - a local employer led partnership arrangement, engaging local businesses and schools and reaching 1000’s of students each year. She is committed to leading and supporting change to harness the advancement of skills development, enhance post 16 transitions and early careers and support better outcomes for children and young people. Placing customer and human experience at the heart of decision-making. Her passion for developing other and driving systemic change makes her a valuable contributor to discussions around education, skills gaps, equity in access and the future of skills based learning.
