Aanya leads the AWS Education Equity Initiative, a $100 million global commitment that expands access to cloud, data and AI technology for organizations building digital learning solutions for underserved learners around the world. She’s a public speaker and thought leader on responsible and equitable AI. Aanya is simultaneously pursuing her PhD on how students experience AI in marginalized contexts at the University of Cambridge. Over the past 16 years, she has developed national curricula, influenced evaluation policies, taught, and authored a book exploring the role of politics in education in Pakistan. She graduated with a Masters in Education from the University of Oxford degrees in Global Development and Foreign Affairs from the University of Virginia.
