Jessica Morseau taught English and Economics through CLIL for more than twenty years and contributed to the development of English-language teaching materials. Today, she is a teacher educator at Howest University of Applied Sciences in Belgium, where she teaches English and digital pedagogy. She also supports student teachers in preparing for their internships and guides them throughout the internship period.
Alongside her role in teacher education, Jessica works as a CLIL and AI trainer with EdHub, Howest’s research and professional development centre for teacher education. EdHub translates practice-based educational research into practical and achievable solutions for teachers, school teams and educational leaders through workshops, webinars and tailored professional development programmes.
Since 2023, Jessica has supported school leadership teams, teaching staff and subject departments across Flanders and the Netherlands in developing an evidence-informed, responsible and pedagogically meaningful approach to AI in education. She works with school teams across a broad range of subjects and educational contexts, while bringing particular expertise to language education, supporting multilingual learners, and CLIL or bilingual education. Her work focuses on translating research into practical classroom applications and supporting sustainable implementation at both teacher and school level.
Together with Thomas Vliebergh, Jessica is the author of Aan zet met AI in het taalonderwijs: Je werk versnellen, je vak verdiepen, a practical, evidence-informed book on the thoughtful and effective use of AI in language education. The book is aimed at language teachers, student teachers and other professionals working in language learning, including teachers of multilingual learners and CLIL or bilingual education. It is currently available in Dutch only.
Note about the book: Our book will available from the end of October.
