Safeguarding pupils in the digital world: A collaborative approach
As our lives become increasingly immersed in the digital world, how can schools, technology providers, and government work together to address online risks, shape effective policies and develop solutions that ensure pupils are kept safe?
This panel discussion, led by NAHT, is designed to support school leaders, teachers, and Designated Safeguarding Leads (DSLs) in navigating the complexities of online safeguarding. The session will explore the risks pupils face and the challenges involved in protecting them in a rapidly evolving digital landscape.
The conversation will reflect on current efforts and identify further actions needed to safeguard children and young people online. Attendees will gain insights into the policy landscape, understand the roles of schools, families, technology companies, and government, and take away practical strategies to strengthen digital safeguarding and promote pupil wellbeing.
