From policy to action: Building trusted and safe EdTech ecosystems
This high-level panel brings together senior leaders from UNICEF, the Council of Europe and the German Standing Conference of Ministers of Education to examine how ministry-led and supranational EdTech evaluation and guidance frameworks are being designed and implemented. Aimed at policymakers, education authorities, EdTech developers and institutional leaders, the session explores why structured evaluation, guidance, and testing has become a strategic priority for building trust, and how these frameworks and ideas proactively support market development while safeguarding fundamental educational, ethical and governance principles.
Drawing on concrete national and international examples, the discussion will unpack what these initiatives mean for developers and education institutions, how stakeholders can engage, and what is required to build feasible, trusted systems, from stakeholder consultations and global evidence reviews to industry dialogue and policy roundtables.
