Do your students understand how AI works? This hands on session will introduce you to ‘Help Luigi to be Brave’, a set of free resources that you can use in your own classroom to demystify predictive AI. With the rise in AI education, it is important that students are not only taught how to use AI but also how it works and how to harness its use in creative projects of their own. In this session, you will learn how predictive AI is trained using training data to create a data model. Then use Machine Learning for Kids to create your own data model and learn how to incorporate it into a Scratch project. The session will help you to develop skills in understanding AI concepts as well as exploring how to facilitate the use of predictive AI in a programming project. The workshop resource is based around Nintendo’s Luigi’s Mansion 3 with students training a virtual Luigi AI created by Professor E. Gadd to help him to identify phrases that will help to make Luigi braver.
