Skills & Careers

From Classroom to Career explores how esports is being used within education to develop industry-relevant digital and soft skills aligned to the UK’s creative industries. Aimed at education leaders, curriculum designers, and industry partners, this panel brings together perspectives from academia, industry, and a current undergraduate student. The session examines how esports supports pathways into broadcast, production, events, marketing, computing, and games development by embedding real-world workflows, project-based learning, and industry engagement into curriculum design. Attendees will gain practical insight into curriculum models, assessment approaches, and accessible delivery methods that improve student engagement and employability, while breaking down silos between media, computing, and business disciplines.
