This keynote is designed for educators, school and system leaders, SEND specialists, and policymakers seeking to design learning environments that truly meet the needs of students with disabilities and diverse learners. Drawing on 32 years of public education leadership, Janice Ross explores how artificial intelligence can be used intentionally to personalize learning, remove barriers, and increase access without lowering expectations. Grounded in the Pedagogy of Critical Love, the session clarifies how equity, innovation, and human-centered design must work together to ensure all learners are seen, supported, and challenged. Attendees will gain a practical framework for inclusive AI use, deepen their understanding of SEND-responsive systems, and leave with a renewed commitment to designing schools where every learner can thrive.
