THE MOBILE SMART FACTORY AS SHARED RESOURCE FOR TRAINING AND UPSKILLING
Practeria in partnership with Bionic Production GmbH in Germany offers the Mobile Smart Factory as an effective tool for training and upskilling in manufacturing and engineering-related fields. Using the system of a modular factory in a box the full end-to-end process of additive manufacturing can be taught. Each step teaches a different set of skills and can lead to job roles that are currently in high demand in the manufacturing industry such as CAD Design & Reverse Engineering Specialists, CNC Machine Specialists, Additive Manufacturing Specialists and Maintenance Technicians supported by Augmented Reality.
The system is mobile and can be used as a shared resource between education institutions and funded through government initiatives. Since it is mobile it can easily be transported and set up at different locations when needed thus reaching a high number of trainees. This is a highly effective way of developing practical skills by interacting with the latest smart technologies housed in two shipping containers.
