Lenovo (HKSE: 992) (ADR: LNVGY) is a US$62 billion revenue global technology powerhouse, ranked #217 in the Fortune Global 500, employing 77,000 people around the world, and serving millions of customers every day in 180 markets.
Focused on providing smarter technology that builds a brighter, more sustainable future for our customers, colleagues, communities, and the planet. We understand the decisions that we make impact future generations and the importance of prioritising sustainability.
Lenovo’s holistic approach to sustainability adopts this thinking, cutting across our product development and integrating services from design, to use, return and after. We call this our smarter circular approach. We are working to create products that are more sustainable throughout their lifecycles, whether that means they're designed for increased repairability, their materials integrate recycled content or their packaging is made from bio-based materials. For example, some of our packaging uses materials like bamboo and sugar cane.
The Education project, Turning Waste into Educational Wonder, is an extension of our drive for sustainability and circular use of our packaging. Through this project, we aspire to encourage students and teachers to use STEM principles to teach and learn skills such as design, engineering and problem-solving. By engaging students in hands-on activities to address the growing problem of packaging waste, via reusing and repurposing of typically discarded materials, we will instil a culture of curiosity for STEM, creativity, resource conservation and responsibility to the environment.
