The Chartered College of Teaching is the professional body for teachers. As the professional body, their mission is to empower a knowledgeable and respected teaching profession. Through membership and accreditation, they are working to:

- improve job satisfaction within the teaching profession.
Their work ensures policy is evidence-informed and shaped by teachers’ expertise. Holding the 365th Royal Charter, granted by Queen Victoria in 1849, they continue a proud history of advancing teaching and learning.
