Using Learning by Questions for Remote Learning
)
When you Start a Question Set, the system will generate a login code for your class to use on that day. You will need to have a means of communicating the 3-character code to your learners in order for them to use it at home or wherever they are studying.
You can set the code to last to as late as 23.55 local time, but you can end and start sessions at any time. Please note that free trial users can only set a task to run for 90 minutes.
Each teacher account enables a logged-in teacher to run up to three concurrent tasks. The Results Matrix and dashboard will update in real-time while your learners are working through a Question Set, so you can identify learning gaps and intervene when necessary.
With LbQ, it is easy to carry on your teaching as if you were still in the classroom. Use the 'Teach' button and share your screen as you teach a live lesson. Or you can share a code, set a time limit, and watch as your pupils make their way through a Question Set.
You can also pause a Question Set at any time and address the class on a video call to address misconceptions. You can even do an-adhoc question after pausing, by clicking on a specific question and then annotating it on the screen as you would do on an interactive whiteboard in the classroom. This gives your pupils the help they need to tackle a particularly tricky question, and you can sit back, press play and watch the responses come rolling in.
Live learning can continue, even if you are not in the same room as your class!
If you feel that LbQ could be useful to your school, the person in charge of your COVID-19 response plan can contact us at info@lbq.org and our team will get back to you with instructions.
