At several key moments in his life Michael has found that writing has enabled him to cope. During this session, Michael will talk about coping with such things as a family trauma from the Holocaust, long, undiagnosed illness, the death of his son and being in a coma for 40 days. Michael has written about these things in such books as 'On the Move', 'The Missing', 'Sad Book', 'Sticky McStickstick', 'Many Different Kinds of Love', 'Getting Better' and 'Write to Feel Right'. Michael will talk about these and read some poems from some of these books indicating how we can help children write like that too.
