Xiang Li
Senior Lecturer in Business Management, Arden University
What happens when AI meets real classrooms?
That question drives Xiang Li’s work.
Xiang is a Senior Lecturer and academic leader at Arden University, a private, digital-first institution with a strong focus on applied learning and AI integration. His work centres on digital pedagogy, AI in education, and scalable teaching for large, international student cohorts.
He leads academic teams and designs learning experiences that connect technology with practical, employability-focused outcomes. His interests include assessment redesign in the age of AI, immersive learning, and building staff confidence in the use of emerging technologies.
Xiang has presented nationally at Advance HE and the British Academy of Management, sharing research on AI in assessment and digital learning design. He is particularly interested in how universities can embed Applied AI into curricula in ways that enhance critical thinking rather than replace it.
As a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (SFHEA) and a Chartered Manager (CMgr MCMI), Xiang combines academic leadership with strategic insight. He brings a practitioner’s perspective to sector conversations about responsible innovation, digital transformation, and the future of higher education.
