Assistant Professor of Education and Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, University of Birmingham, Dubai

Noshaba Anbreen is an Assistant Professor of Education and Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy at the University of Birmingham Dubai. She is also a PhD candidate in Digital Pedagogy at the University of Birmingham. Her research explores confidence, competence, and the responsible integration of emerging technologies in teacher education. She works across UK and international contexts, contributing to the design, validation, and quality assurance of higher education teacher preparation programmes. Noshaba serves as a reviewer for AI in Education with Emerald Publishing and acts as an External Examiner and validation panel member for teacher education and training programmes, supporting institutions in maintaining academic rigour, regulatory alignment, and professional standards. Her work sits at the intersection of digital innovation, professional formation, and governance in higher education. She brings a critical yet solutions-focused perspective on how AI and educational technologies can be integrated responsibly within teacher development, ensuring innovation remains pedagogically grounded, ethically informed, and workforce-relevant. Through her advisory roles, Noshaba advocates for stronger alignment between higher education, teacher workforce strategy, and technological transformation - with a particular interest in how institutions can prepare educators for generational, digital, and global shifts in learning.
