John Brindle
Learning Design Manager, Edge Hill University
John is currently Learning Design Manager at Edge Hill University in the North-West of England. He has over 20 years of experience in education having been a teacher and course leader in FE prior to moving into learning technology, educational development, and learning and curriculum design roles in the private sector and higher education. John's passion is in the space of inclusive practices in higher education and how critical digital pedagogies can support student-centred approaches to learning and teaching.
He is a passionate speaker and has presented at numerous national and international conferences on diverse topics including mobile-first learning, learning and curriculum design models, Universal Design for Learning, and conversational frameworks for digital learning design.
He holds an MSc in Blended and Online Education from Edinburgh Napier University and is currently writing his PhD thesis on how so-called "third-space professionals" make sense of inclusive practice. John is also a Fellow of Advance HE and a Certified member of the Association for Learning Technology.
