Chanté Oduwolé
Assistant Headteacher for Inclusion, Plume Academy
Chanté is an Assistant Headteacher for Inclusion at Plume Academy, where she leads whole-school strategy for SEND and vulnerable learners across a large secondary setting. She works at senior leadership level to develop inclusive systems, improve provision for students with complex needs, and strengthen outcomes for those facing barriers to education.
With over 15 years’ experience across early years, secondary and post-16 education, Chanté has extensive expertise in EHCP implementation, provision mapping, alternative provision and staff development. She leads on areas including neurodiversity, emotionally based school avoidance (EBSA) and inclusive practice, supporting schools to move beyond compliance towards meaningful, equitable support.
A Fellow of the Chartered College of Teaching (FCCT) and the Royal Society of Arts (FRSA), she holds the NPQSL and is completing a Master’s in Educational Leadership and Management. She is particularly interested in how EdTech and AI can be used to improve access, reduce workload, and support more precise, responsive teaching.
Chanté is a regular contributor to sector conversations on inclusion, leadership and innovation. Drawing on her experience as a former school governor and award-nominated early years business owner, she brings a strong understanding of systems, strategy and community engagement. Her work combines systems thinking with practical application to support sustainable change in schools, alongside a broader interest in leadership, entrepreneurship and financial empowerment.
