For 14 years Gerald Solomon served as the Executive Director of the Samueli Foundation, which strives to create societal value by investing in innovative, entrepreneurial and sustainable ideas. During his tenure, grants in excess of $500 million were awarded to entrepreneurial programs focused on STEM education, youth development, and integrative health and wellness worldwide. He designed and launched STEM Learning Ecosystems in over 90 cities across the globe, developing workforce skills and economic impact. In 2018, Mr. Solomon designed and launched NASEF, the Network of Academic and Scholastic Esports Federations and a project of the Samueli Foundation. Operational in 49 U.S. States it serves over 30,000 students in over 5,000 schools and clubs, with affiliates in 30+ countries including: Japan, Mexico, Canada, Australia, UK, India, Thailand, South Korea, Indonesia, Nigeria, Puerto Rico, Honduras, Coast Rica, Panama, South Africa, Ghana, Argentina, Guatemala, Kenya, and more.
